This page is for RostamVPN. It explains how to have your account and the data attached to it deleted, what we remove, and what we are required to keep.
RostamVPN has no name, email address or phone number for you. Your account is an anonymous identifier your app created on your device. That is the whole of your identity with us, which is why the steps below ask for it.
Requests are actioned within 30 days. You will not be asked for a name, an email account, or any document. If you have lost the code, say so in the message: without it we have no way to find your record, which is itself a consequence of not collecting anything about you.
| Account identifier | Deleted permanently. This ends any entitlement attached to it. |
|---|---|
| Account / recovery code | Deleted permanently and cannot be restored. |
| Usage records | Deleted. Data volume totals reported by the app. |
| Advertising identifier | Deleted, and further ad personalisation is disabled. |
| Activity and diagnostic logs | Deleted. |
| Ad delivery records | Deleted. |
| Payment records | Kept for 7 years, with your identifier removed. Tax law and card chargeback rules require a record that a payment happened. What remains is an amount and a date, attached to no one. |
|---|---|
| Store subscription records | Your link to them is removed immediately. The record itself stays because it belongs to Google Play or the App Store, not to us. Deleting your account here does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in Google Play or in your Apple account, or you will keep being charged. |
| An active eSIM | Unlinked from you immediately and left to run until it expires, so a data plan you paid for is not cut off. It is not renewed and not re-identified. |
You can ask us to erase your usage history, activity logs, ad records and advertising identifier while keeping your account and anything you have paid for. Email the same address with delete my data instead. This is reversible in no sense: the history is gone, but your subscription is untouched.
